Duke Cancer Institute
Last year — the Victory Ride's inaugural year — exceeded our expectations! Having raised more than $20,500, Team Duke Cancer Institute crossed the finish line as the #1 Fundraising Team. Our team captain, Michael B. Kastan, MD, PhD, executive director, DCI, led the charge personally raising almost $6,000 to claim 2017 Top Individual Fundraiser!
Now we're gearing up for the 2019 ride. We hope you will saddle up with us in our quest to support breakthrough cancer research. We can't do it alone. We need YOU to help us ride to victory.
When we ride across the finish line on Saturday, May 18, 2019, we will have helped the V Foundation get closer to a cure. Please support our efforts by making a tax-deductible donation today. Or, join our team and we can declare victory over cancer together. The more who ride and fundraise, the greater our impact!
To donate, please choose one of the riders from our team list and donate through his or her personal fundraising page. Thank you in advance for your support.
About the V Foundation
The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded by ESPN and legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano with one goal in mind: to achieve victory over cancer. Since its inception in 1993, the V Foundation has awarded over $200 million in cancer research grants, both locally and nationwide, and has grown to become one of the premier supporters of cutting-edge cancer research.
The Victory Ride is managed by Don't Ever Give Up, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable supporting organization formed by and operated exclusively for the benefit of the V Foundation. Don't Ever Give Up raises funds and awareness to end cancer by supporting cutting-edge research through the V Foundation.
Inspired by Jim Valvano's enduring legacy of passion and courage, we will never give up until cancer in all of its forms is defeated, once and for all.
