The Iditarod Trail Invitational, 1000 Miles from Anchorage to Nome, Alaska in the dead of winter is widely considered the toughest winter endurance race on the planet. Starting March 1st, I will take up this challenge.
In 2009 I made a decision to take my love of adventure and going long and marry that to raising money for those who have taught me so much about this life. The people fighting Cancer.
My goal, like so many of the challenges I have taken on, Running across my home state of Iowa (292 Miles), The Yukon River Quest, Becoming the first to run around the Great Lake Michigan (1037 Miles averaging a marathon a day for 40 straight days), A cross country 4000 mile relay for and by cancer survivors, seemed such a stretch.
That Goal? To raise $1,000,000 dollars in the fight against cancer during my lifetime.
How far have we come so far you ask???
$750,100. (I donated the first $100 here for this challenge).
We have come so far and SO much progress has been made.
Will you help make my dream come true?
